Interviewing at Falkor
What to expect when you interview with us.
We want our interview process to be clear, relevant and respectful of your time.
The exact process will depend on the role, but every conversation should have a defined purpose and help both you and Falkor make an informed decision.
Our approach is designed to understand not only what you've done, but how you apply your expertise, solve problems, work with others and create impact.
The Process
Application review
Our Talent Acquisition team will review your experience against the requirements of the role. If your background appears to be a potential match, we'll contact you to discuss the opportunity and learn more about what you're looking for next.
Recruiter conversation
Your first conversation will usually be with a member of our Talent Acquisition team. We'll discuss your experience, motivation and career interests, introduce Falkor and the opportunity, and cover practical considerations such as location and expectations. It's also your first opportunity to start asking us questions. Falkor's recommended recruiter screen focuses on motivation, communication, career drivers, logistics and compensation alignment.
Hiring Manager Interview
Next, you'll usually meet the hiring manager. We'll explore your relevant experience, achievements and functional capability in more depth, while giving you the opportunity to understand the team, the role and what success could look like.
Role-relevant assessment
For many positions, we'll ask you to complete a functional assessment designed around the work you would actually do in the role.
Depending on the opportunity, this could include:
Work sample
Presentation
Case study
Technical exercise
Scenario exercise
Portfolio review
Leadership conversations
For people-management and VP+ leadership positions, the process includes an additional Culture & Leadership conversation focused on leadership judgement, people capability and cultural stewardship.
Professional references
References provide final validation alongside the evidence we've gathered through the interview process.
They help validate interview findings, explore potential risks or areas for development, understand how best to support onboarding, and confirm relevant career history and achievements. References are normally completed after final interviews and before the verbal offer.
Decision & Offer
Once your assessment is complete, we'll review the evidence gathered throughout the process.
For the successful candidate, your recruiter will then guide you through the offer process and next steps. Falkor's internal process requires the hiring decision and proposed package to go through the required approval before the offer is communicated.
