We're currently looking for a Vice President, Head of Legal.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Contracting

• Lead and support all aspects of commercial contracting across the global business, including:

• Enterprise SaaS agreements

• Master Services Agreements (MSAs)

• Subscription and licensing agreements

• Procurement and vendor negotiations

• Customer renewals and expansions

• Partner and channel agreements

• Strategic commercial transactions

• Complex customer negotiations

• Act as a trusted advisor to Commercial and Revenue Growth teams throughout customer engagements and negotiations, providing practical and commercially focused legal guidance.

Product & Technology Legal

• Lead legal strategy and provide practical legal advise across the company’s software products and technology initiatives, including:

• SaaS, cloud, self-hosted and enterprise offerings

• Software licensing, subscription and commercialisation models

• Intellectual property matters

• AI, machine learning and data usage governance

• Open-source software compliance

• Product risk assessments

• Commercialisation models

• Support strategic legal initiatives connected to evolving technology, AI, and product strategy.

International Legal Support

• Support cross-border legal matters across a global customer and operational footprint spanning EMEA, APAC, and the Americas.

• Coordinate with external counsel on jurisdiction-specific legal matters where required and help drive consistency and scalability across legal processes and contracting standards globally.

Claims & Disputes

• Manage and support commercial disputes and legal escalations, including:

• Intellectual Property matters

• Commercial and contractual disputes

• Customer escalations

• Pre-litigation strategy and dispute resolution

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders and external counsel to assess risk, develop strategy and achieve commercially pragmatic outcomes.

Strategic Legal Initiatives

• Lead or contribute to strategic legal and operational initiatives, including:

• AI-related legal strategy

• Contract lifecycle management (CLM) optimisation

• Legal process standardisation

• Partnership and go-to-market frameworks

• Strategic commercial initiatives

• Cross-functional risk assessments

• Board and corporate governance responsibilities.

Leadership & Team Support

• Provide leadership and guidance to a small global legal team.

• The team is highly experienced and largely self-sufficient, with the role focused on:

• Mentoring and support

• Legal prioritisation

• Cross-functional alignment

• Process improvement

• Maintaining a collaborative and high-performing legal culture

Candidate Profile

Essential Experience

• Extensive in-house legal experience within a SaaS and/or technology business

• Strong commercial contracting expertise within a global B2B SaaS environment

• Experience supporting international customer and commercial operations

• Strong understanding of:

• Software licensing

• SaaS

• Intellectual property and technology law

• AI and data usage considerations

• Product-related legal risk

• Experience partnering closely with commercial and revenue teams

• Ability to operate pragmatically within a fast-paced growth environment

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities

Desirable Experience

• Experience supporting strategic transactions, M&A, or fundraising activity

• Procurement or vendor management exposure

• Familiarity with compliance and privacy

• Qualified lawyer preferred
